Be it your partner, your family, your loved ones or the people around you, always be truthful to them. Why lie? Does it serve you any purpose?
Think about it, what if they found out the truth?
Wouldnt they feel more hurt?
If you were the one being lied to, wouldnt you feel hurt too?
Dont lie, it never helps, there will always be a loop hole somehow.
Even the walls have ears and eyes.
No matter what happens, saying the truth is the best.
It allows others to trust you.
And any relationship would be destroyed if the trust is lost.
