True love expects no returns

How many times have you told yourself,
it doesnt matter if the person loved you back,
just making sure that he/she is happy in his/her life is all that matters?
And how many times have you secretly wanted more than that?
and told yourself that what you have now is not enough?
That you wanted her/him in your life, love you back as much as you loved her/him.
It has always been that way for me.
I love all my loved ones as much as i could.
Be there for them as much as i could.
Watched from afar when they smile,
and at their close side when they cried.
But how many of them watched over me?
None.
Who tried to console me when im down?
None.
But yet i still love them.
For i know this is what true love means.

Love accepts the person for who he is

When you love somebody, accept him/her for who he/she is.
That includes their personality, character and their past.
